The concepts of identity and self extend to the childhood of human life, the family into which he/she was born. These two concepts, which started to take shape in this period, bring the framework with them overtime. The artist has produced a series of photographs belonging to her childhood as reference.

In this project, which she started to question her own self and identity, she produced new images from photographs that she remembered from her childhood memories and transformed her autobiographical memories into an ambiguous image thanks to these photographs.

In this context, the blurry and ambiguous appearance of the artist’s works are produced with reference from childhood photographs involves an inquiry on the concept of self identity. Moments and memories are the building blocks that makeup memory. Memories that blur as we grow older still remain in our souls with faint fragments and effects when we become adults. It is not completely erased but is not visible in every detail too.

The works produced in this series are faint and blurry, just like the memory effect on the mind. In other words, instead of painting from photographs, the artist painted her memories.
